The fall shows have also yielded great results for Rocking M Ranch goats. Congrats to Kelsie Yarbrough of Woodward for her Division Reserve Champion Doe at Tulsa State Fair. Kelsie also had 3rd in a large class with another Rocking M Ranch doe in the ABGA show.
We have also heard of many other winners across Oklahoma and expect to have more pictures soon. Below are some of the most recent pictures received.
Congrats to Sara Hix who is shown in this picture with her Rocking M Ranch doe, Taylor Swift. Sarah and Taylor took Grand Champion doe at the Cherokee County Fair. She also placed 4th in a large class at the Oklahoma State Fair and 8th in a large class at the Tulsa State Fair. Congratulations Sarah!!!
This is Sarah Hix again with her wether, Kenny Chesney. Saras and Kenny have stood as Reverve Grand Champion wether at the Cherokee County fair. At the Oklahoma State Fair Kenny stood 4th in a large class.
This is Sarah Hix again with Loretta, a Rocking M Ranch doe. Loretta is actually Ashton Hix's doe, but Ashton wasn't available for the picture. Loretta stood 3rd in class at Cherokee County and 10th at the Oklahoma State fair. She stood 11th at the Tulsa State fair.
Rocking M Ranch wethers and does have placed extremely well all across the state in this spring's shows. We know of many Grand and Reserve Grand Champion placings at county, district and regional shows as well as very respectable placings at the OYE! Below are just a few of the pictures we have received to date.

This is Mckenzie Parks with her Pass daughter. Mckenzie has done very well showing this doe. This picture was taken at the Stillwater OYMGA show in February. She took first in her class as well as winning showmanship in her age group! In late February, Mckenzie won first in her class and Reserve Grand Champion Doe at the Grady County Junior Livestock Show!!Congratulations Mckenzie!!

Reserve Division Champion. Overall Reserve Champion! "Bigfoot" - Cherokee County-3rd in class. Muskogee Regional - 1st in class. 9th in class at OYE. "Kong"- Cherokee County- 2nd in class and 3rd overall for premium sale order. Also Ashton won Senior Showmanship with this wether. Muskogee Regional Show- 1st in class of 22. Pulled for sale order because of "Lock".

Jaci Hodges- Grand Champion Doe Woodward County Junior Livestock Show. That same doe placed Reserve Grand Champion Doe at the Northwest District Show! 4th in class at OYE. Congratulations Jaci!

This is Nate Hamilton, showing on behalf of BG Boers. The goat is Pass the Nuts, a buck born 4/19/07. He is sired by Pass and his dam is ROKM Chestnut Girl, owned by BG Boers of Pauls Valley. This little buck was Reserve Grand Champion at the OMGA Spring Show in Cushing on June 16th. Judge Ronnie Womack. What a nice buck! Congrats to BG and Nate!

Jenny Gonzalez did very well with her Rocking M Ranch doe, "Jasmine". She took Grand Champion at Pauls Valley in the local show and 1st in class at the district show. What an incredible doe!! Also, her wether "Rafter" sired by ROKM Brutus was Overall Grand Champion wether at the Pauls Valley local show. Congratulations Jenny!!
NEWS FLASH!!! Rocking M Ranch wether wins Reserve Grand Champion at the first show back in the OYMGA Futurity on November 11th, 2006! Congratulations Ashton Hix!
The fall livestock shows and fairs are underway and Rocking M Ranch goats have already made an impact! The first two TEX kids in the show ring have taken Overall Grand Champion honors in 3 of 3 shows as of September 8th!!!!
This is Ashton Hix with her 2006 Rocking M Ranch wether. She has an impressive list of winnings after only two shows. At the Oklahoma State Fair she took 1st place and Reserve Grand Overall Showmanship. At that show her wether took 10th place in a large class. At the Tulsa State Fair, her wether took 2nd place in a large class. Congratulations Ashton and best of luck in the OMGA Futurity!
This is Mary Anne with ROKM Sophia, a TEX kid. Sophia took overall Grand Champion doe at the 2006 Cleveland County fair under judge Carl Vennables.
In Pauls Valley, Ok, the Overall Grand Champion Buck was the Tex kid owned by Jenny Gonzales of Pauls Valley. This is the second show for this young buck kid and the second Overall Grand Champion title!! In addition, Jenny won First in the class with one of her young Rocking M Ranch does (ROKM Jasmine a Poncho kid), second in a class with ROKM Jill(a Poncho kid) and First with her Rocking M Ranch wether(a Brutus kid). At the Garvin County Livestock Show, she won first and Overall Grand Champion with ROKM Jill, second in a class with a young doe sired by TEX and third in a class with ROKM Jasmine. She also won first in a class with her Rocking M Ranch Wether. Congratulations Jenny!!
On June 17, 2006 at the OMGA spring show in Cushing, Ok, Jenny Gonzales and her 6 week old buck kid sired by TEX, (our buck Powell Holman 8T) took Overall Grand Champion Buck of the show. The judge, Al Paul of Aubrey, Texas said he was making a "bold move" in selecting this young guy, but this little buck kid had all the characteristics to make a super buck and stood above all the other bucks in the show!! Congratulations Jenny!!

******2006 Oklahoma Youth Expo results are in! All Rocking M Ranch Goats shown placed 7th or better in their respective classes!!! Jenny Gonzales - Pauls Valley 4H placed 7th in a class of 27 with her doe. (Poncho kid)
Chelsea Dudley - Woodward 4H placed 4th in a class of 31 (Poncho kid)
Sarah Hix - Tahlequah FFA placed 7th in a class of 34 with her light weight wether. (Poncho kid)
Sarah Hix -Tahlequah FFA placed 2nd in a class of 30 and then 5th in the 2nd division of 184 goats!! (Brutus kid)
Jared Lindenfelser - Erick FFA placed 5th out of 35. (Brutus kid)
This is Sarah Hix with her wether named "Hulk". He is a Brutus kid. Sarah was overall grand champion of the Cherokee County Junior Livestock show!! There were 62 goats in the show. Hulk also placed 2nd in a large class and was selected 15th out of 450 goats at the Muskogee regional show premium sale. Sarah is also mentioned above with this wether winning 2nd in her class and 5th in the division at the OYE!
Chelsea Dudley - Woodward 4H placed 4th in a class of 31 at the OYE with her wether named "Barnie". (Poncho kid) Barnie was also Reserve Grand Champion at the Woodward, Ok Junior Livestock Show and placed 2nd in a large class at the county show.

Sarah also did well with her other Poncho kid "BB". He placed 2nd at the Cherokee County youth stock show and 3rd in the premium sale order at the Muskogee Regional.

Rocking M Ranch Show Goats had 5 total wethers showing in the OYE, so we felt very pleased with these results and congratulations to the kids who own these fine goats! Overall there were 553 wethers and 250 does entered in the OYE.
Chris Thurman, Noble, Ok. FFA started the year with a 1st place out of 15 wethers at a large show in Clayton, Oklahoma. Here is a picture of Chris and his wether "stubby" ( a Poncho kid) at the show. Stubby also went on to place first in his class at the Cleveland County spring stock show and Grand Champion wether. He placed 5th in a class of 40 at OYE.
Rocking M Ranch Polo (son of Poncho) pictured here at approximately 1 month old, stood 4th out of 23 animals at the OBGA show in Ada, Ok on April 23, 2005. He also gained .64 pounds per day in the Langston University buck feed test!

This is ROKM Brutus. We raised Brutus and had a very successful show history with him. He is the sire of many of our brood does. He is shown in this picture as Grand Champion Yearling Buck at the OBGA spring classic in 2004.
